I had to wait a couple of days, as the postie left one of the Little Red Cards Of Doom saying I'd missed my delivery.
[Note to Postie: That's because your average person is at work at 11:00am. Why they pick 11:00am as a time to deliver knowing people are working is beyond me.]
However, I finally made it to my local delivery office and picked up my precious parcel. I've been really excited because it's a hot pink, limited edition box. However, I'd also seen some angry customers complaining about empty samples, missing items and useless products (pale pink eyeliner, anyone?) so I had my fingers crossed that my box would be better stocked. I wasn't disappointed...
Pretty hot pink box of joy!
Such pretty wrapping!
This month's products - note the little sweetie!
This month I got some lovely stuff, and so far haven't had any of the problems listed by customers on the GlossyBox Facebook page. I got...
Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner in Plum.
I was hoping for black or green, but I do sometimes wear purple and this eyeliner is a gorgeous shade that will go nicely with some of my eyeshadows. Plus it's my first Eyeko product ever, and I've heard good things!
Orly Nail Lacquer in Ruby.
Those of you who that know me well know that I adore vampy, sex-siren, blood-red nails and this delightful shade is no exception. Orly is apparently the top brand in California for nail products and another first for me, so I'm really looking forward to passing the boring hours in work pampering my claws with this decadent colour.
Weleda One Step Cleanser & Toner.
This is a handy time saver for those of you looking to cut a step out of your morning routine. It's a yummy-smelling milky liquid that you apply to the skin to cleanse and balance, then rinse off with water. Please note that when I say balance, I mean to balance your skin. You don't have to stand on one leg to use it or anything...
FAB Gentle Body Wash.
This has been hiding from me in my local Boots, so I'm made up to finally have a chance to test it. It's allergy tested, fragrance free and dermatologist recommended. I've tried shower gels designed for sensitive skin before and they tend to smell like a dentist's office (Sanex:- I'm looking at you.) but this one doesn't appear to have a scent at all. None. Nada. Zip. I'll get a better idea when I give it a good testing later.
Murad Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer - Dewy Finish.
I have a love/hate relationship with Murad. Some of their products are fantastic, but other I seem to be allergic to. After a quick test this primer seems more like a tinted moisturiser and the colour is a bit too orange for my pale skin, but with a bit of blending it looks OK. I'm going to try this on the (few) non-oily areas of my face and see how it goes.
In other news, I've temporarily ditched my usual Soap&Glory products in order to try the Eucerin Dermo Purifyer range. I only bought them yesterday and I want to trial them for at least a month before I review them, but you've got that to look forward to. I'm also about to send an email to Paula's Choice due to non-delivery of some rather expensive samples I ordered. I've really been looking forward to trying them but the postie hasn't brought them. *sadface* The nice postie at the delivery office would have given them to me today when I picked up my GlossyBox, so if Royal Mail don't have them, I want answers!
Also, yes. I did take those product photos in my fireplace. Not recommended if you don't have a warm air fan disguised as a fire like I do. Melty products and burned fingers and all that...
